The Truth Truck driver — who was spotted this morning protesting SB 200 — gave us a call back later this afternoon and he allowed us to tape an interview with him. Here are some of the highlights. For the record, he wouldn’t give us a name, only saying that he was a Christian working in the name of The Lord. We later learned, however, his name was Ron from someone at TruthTruckUSA.com who also returned a phone call from us.

Ron is a great guy with a lot of courage and dedication to the Lord. It really takes some guts to drive around in a vehicle like that with people constantly flipping him off while yelling and screaming the most vile profanity at him – even threatening his life. I thought homos were supposed to be all about “love” and “tolerance” – Wonder why won’t they tolerate Ron for his views?

This is a first hand account from one of the men who were protesting at Denver’s Pride parade:
When I had some civil conversations with some of them that were more calm and more educated they would say, “This stuff offends us” and “Can’t you understand how it makes us angry?” And I would ask them, “Don’t you think we need diversity and tolerance? Are you espousing that we should be tolerant?” And they said, “Absolutely.” And I said, “So, what would you say when the vast majority of your people spit at us, swore at us, hit us, punched us, pushed us, heckled us, punched and spit at our women? You’re telling me we need to be tolerant of you. Is that a message that you also believe for yourselves? Is that something that you need to be toward people who are different minded than yourselves? Because we’re here with a message for you but we’re not spitting at you and we’re not pushing you and we’re not heckling you and we’re not hitting you.
